About Us - Over ons

We love hiking in the Alpine mountains. We wanted to have a dog as a companion, but for many years we were unable take a dog due to work and traveling. We started to look for a partner with some senses that are better than human, who could endure long walks, is sensitive for nature, intelligent, autonomous and powerful.

After some years of orientation, we concluded that the central-Asian Tazi or a Russian wolfhound would fit us best. But the Tazi was hard to get in 2014. At a dog show, we met people with sighthounds. Once, we had a dream of having an Afghan sighthound, but we were discouraged to take an Afghan sighthound that we could take with us for hiking and long distance walks.

We decided to try to get a Borzoi puppy from the Belgium Eddy van Hoof, but we could not trace him back after the show. Thus, we widened our search scope and found Franz Ehrler in France who is breeding Borzois with sporty talents. We could acquire Jermolow, a dog with a red fur coat. In the meantime, we also had identified Andreja Novak, a breeder and international judge from Slovenia, who offered us to take a bitch called Belogruda. Besides their respective pedigrees, we also selected our Borzois for their exterior from the perspective of potential art model and performer. Personally, we think that Jermolow and Belogruda form the most impressing Borzoi couple in the Netherlands.

It might be noted that we are from different worlds ourselves. Floor is an associate professor at TU Delft. Larissa has a career as a medic, got overwhelmed by arts, leading to a career switch in favour of the arts.of the arts.
